Palm Beach State College has received the U.S. Department of Defense’s prestigious Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Seven Seals Award for its initiatives and leadership to support student service members and veterans.

Van Williams selected to lead PBSC Boca Raton campus

Van Williams, an Army veteran with 24 years of higher education experience, including 12 at Palm Beach State College, has been selected to lead the Boca Raton campus as provost and dean of student services.
Williams, current dean of student services on the Lake Worth campus, will begin his new role June 1 and become the newest member of President Ava L. Parker’s executive leadership team. Williams named Lake Worth campus student services dean

Palm Beach State College’s national search for a new dean of student services for the Lake Worth campus ended internally with the appointment of Van Williams, who served as an assistant dean for the last three years.
The Army veteran with 18 years of higher education experience was chosen from four finalists for the position that drew 283 applicants. He replaced Penny McIsaac, who retired in January after 18 years in the role.
