Three PBSC employees win Bravo Awards

Two faculty and one staff member received Palm Beach State College’s Bravo Award at the annual Employee Recognition Awards Ceremony this morning in the Duncan Theatre on the Lake Worth campus.
Professors Suzanne Duff and Allen Webber and Interim Student Learning Center Manager Wesley Wells were selected from a college wide pool of 23 contenders nominated by their PBSC colleagues for the award.

Haney earns AAWCC 40 Under 40 Award for local work

Palm Beach State College Associate Professor Kanathy Haney has landed a spot in the second “40 Under 40” class of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges for her efforts to raise awareness of human trafficking and to help victims.

A journey in service: Study abroad students help Costa Rican orphanage

Professor Suzanne Duff, department chair for Human Services programs at Palm Beach State College, and 12 students returned June 7 from a study abroad trip to Costa Rica, exhausted yet elated.
The nine-day journey was the third annual summer trip led by Duff, designed to give PBSC students a hands-on experience serving those in need in another culture. Duff named to ‘40 under 40’ list of community college achievers
