Growing up, Tarruck Wheeler saw school as an insurmountable problem.
“It was always challenging for me,” says Wheeler, who ended up getting a GED.
At the time, Wheeler, now PBSC’s newly selected student trustee and a Dr. Floyd F. Koch Honors College student, was struggling with dyslexia. However, he did not realize it until he was officially diagnosed later in life. Once diagnosed, he got the courage to pursue a higher education.

Three years ago, Gabrielle Louis came to Palm Beach State College from Port-au-Prince, Haiti to pursue an education and gain more experiences.
Not only is she accomplishing these goals, she has also been selected as the College’s student trustee for the 2020-21 academic year.

Jesse Pulliam, an aspiring engineer who took his first college classes while a high school senior, has been named the new Palm Beach State College student trustee for the 2015-16 academic year.
The Jupiter resident and 2013 William T.
