Taking college courses while in high school will become even more attractive for Palm Beach County’s top performing students.
Palm Beach State College has established a new scholarship that will allow high school dual enrollment students who complete 30 college credits with a minimum 3.5 grade point average to finish their Associate in Arts degree for free. Chancellor delivers more than $40,000 in scholarship funds to PBSC

Randy Hanna, chancellor of the Florida College System, visited Palm State College today, but he didn’t come empty-handed. He came with checks.
Hanna delivered three checks totaling $40,067 for scholarships aimed at relieving the nursing shortage and helping students who are the first in their family to attend college. Balfour Beatty Construction golf benefit raises more than $33,000 for student scholarships

Balfour Beatty Construction, the fifth largest general builder in the nation and one of Florida’s largest construction managers, raised $33,500 at their 20th annual golf benefit held March 10 at the Grand Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Fla. The funds were given the next day to the Palm Beach State College Foundation to be distributed for student scholarships.
