Parents and kids learn about science at STEM Saturday

Families with school-age children usually spend Saturdays pursuing sports and other leisure activities, with a lot of errands thrown in for good measure. This past Saturday, however, 15 children, from preschoolers to high school students, along with one or both parents, took time out to explore biology, anatomy, chemistry, math and physics at the first STEM Saturday event at Palm Beach State College’s Lake Worth campus.

PBSC professors recognized at national conference for excellence in teaching

Two Palm Beach State College professors, including one who created an interactive e-book to help students master the concepts taught in their anatomy lab, were recently recognized at a national conference for community college faculty, staff and administrators.

Former NASA director to discuss “climate change” during Science Day March 3

Dr. Franco Einaudi, former director of the Earth Sciences Division at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, will speak about weather and the often-debated topic of climate change during Science Day March 3 at the Palm Beach State College Lake Worth campus.
