Food baskets to help PBSC students during winter break

The Palm Beach State College Student Counseling Center and Panther’s Pantry teamed up to bring some extra cheer to students in need.
Baskets stuffed with nonperishable food and gift cards are being delivered to 46 students across the campuses before the winter break begins Dec. 17. Sister to Sister to help first-time-in-college women of color

The Student Counseling Center and the Palm Beach State College Chapter of the National Council on Black American Affairs are partnering to launch a mentoring program for first-time-in-college women of color.   
The Sister to Sister project is being funded with a $4,200 mini grant the College received from BeWellPBC, a countywide behavioral health initiative engaging residents, providers and systems to advance behavioral health and wellness. Suicide awareness bench unveiled on Lake Worth campus

Palm Beach State College unveiled a bright yellow new bench on the Lake Worth campus today to help raise awareness about suicide prevention and mental health.
The bench was installed near the water fountain in the heavily trafficked Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza, a popular spot for student events.
