After two successive years of earning “Silver” status in the state’s new performance funding model, Palm Beach State College is launching a “Go Bold for Gold!” initiative aimed at reaching the top echelon in 2016-17.
Focused primarily on increasing student retention and completion rates, the initiative doubles down on strategies introduced a year ago to support students’ progress toward graduation. Palm Beach State College leaders today accepted Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s statewide “Ready, Set, Work” challenge calling for the achievement of 100 percent graduation rates for full-time students.
College officials said the challenge is formidable but attainable through a concerted effort to improve student completion.
