PBSC to host Grad Walk May 13 to celebrate graduates

Palm Beach State College is holding Grad Walk Thursday, May 13 to celebrate the achievements of its spring 2021 graduates.  
The event, which is in lieu of a traditional commencement ceremony, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Duncan Theatre on the Lake Worth campus. Van Williams selected to lead PBSC Boca Raton campus

Van Williams, an Army veteran with 24 years of higher education experience, including 12 at Palm Beach State College, has been selected to lead the Boca Raton campus as provost and dean of student services.
Williams, current dean of student services on the Lake Worth campus, will begin his new role June 1 and become the newest member of President Ava L. Parker’s executive leadership team. Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, an American Book Award recipient and two-time NAACP Image Award winner, was the keynote speaker at the Palm Beach State College 18th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Thursday, telling the crowd that “Dr. King’s legacy is so significant that we should all engage in it.”
