The Palm Beach State College Student Counseling Center and Panther’s Pantry teamed up to bring some extra cheer to students in need.

Even though Palm Beach County is known for its vast wealth, one in six residents do not know where their next meal will come from, according to the Palm Beach County Food Bank.
Since the majority of Palm Beach State College students are residents of the county, they too may be struggling to get enough to eat.

Palm Beach State College has received a $45,000 donation from Bank of America Charitable Foundation to support Panther’s Closet and Panther’s Pantry, two initiatives to help students.
The gift was presented Tuesday at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Panther’s Closet, a thrift store that opened in March in a refurbished classroom on the Lake Worth campus.
