PBSC kicks off New Student Welcome events

Palm Beach State College kicked off its collegewide New Student Welcome events at the Belle Glade and Loxahatchee Groves campuses earlier this week in advance of the start of fall classes.
The events, formerly called New Student Convocation, are meant to help the College’s anticipated 5,000 first-time-in-college students and their families make connections and familiarize themselves with PBSC.

New Student Convocation set for all five campuses

Palm Beach State College will hold a New Student Convocation on each campus to welcome an anticipated 5,000 first-time-in-college students and their families this fall.
The events will be held on different days and times before and after the start of the fall term Aug. 23. Some of the activities will include interactive games, speakers, food, giveaways, appearances by Palmer the Panther and PBSC Drumline performances.

Palm Beach State College held New Student Convocation at the Palm Beach Gardens and Lake Worth campuses today, continuing a series of celebrations being held across the College to formally welcome thousands of first-time students and mark the start of their academic journeys.
Dressed in academic regalia, faculty and staff greeted students and their families, creating a ceremonial experience similar to what students will get when they graduate.
