Ruane to serve as head men’s basketball coach

Palm Beach State College Athletics has selected Michael Ruane to serve as its new head men’s basketball coach. He officially begins May 2.
He was selected for the role from a national pool of more than 200 candidates.
Ruane has been the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Conn. for the past 22 years. Richard Grant named PBSC’s head men’s basketball coach

Richard Grant has been named Palm Beach State College’s new head coach for men’s basketball.
Grant will officially begin his duties on Aug. 1. He replaces Martin McCann, who was the head coach for the past five years.
Grant was chosen for the role after a national search.

1978 men’s championship basketball team to be honored

The 1978 men’s basketball team that led then Palm Beach Junior College to its first state title is returning to campus for a reunion celebration.
