Keeler named to statewide board of EMS educators

Matt Keeler, director of Palm Beach State College’s Emergency Medical Services programs, has been elected to the board of directors of the Florida Association of EMS Educators. He will serve a three-year term as a director-at-large for FAEMSE, a member-based association organized to foster excellence in EMS education and training.
Keeler is the first FAEMSE board member to represent Palm Beach State College, which has one of the largest EMS programs in the state. Paramedic student’s art becomes heartbeat of EMS department

Cassandra Rose has twin passions: art and medicine. Now her worlds have joined together in a wall art project for Palm Beach State College’s Emergency Medical Services programs.
Graduating this month from the Paramedic program, Rose just completed painting the corridor walls of the EMS section of the PSC building, part of the Public Safety Training Center on the Lake Worth campus.

PBSC’s all-female paramedic team wins EMS competition

The first all-female paramedic team from Palm Beach State College is continuing the College’s longtime streak of bringing home the metal from first-responder competitions.
The team of Dema Ammar, Brooke Stark and Madison Waite finished first in the student division at the 24th Annual “First There, First Care” Conference, held June 14-15 at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Hollywood. Keeler named Boynton Beach Fire’s Paramedic of the Year

Lt. Matt Keeler, director of Palm Beach State’s Emergency Medical Services programs, has received the Paramedic of the Year award from Boynton Beach Fire Rescue, where he has worked as a Lt. Firefighter/Paramedic for almost 25 years.
Boynton Beach Fire Rescue has about 120 paramedics, and Keeler was nominated for the award by his Battalion Chief John Canela, who oversees the B-Shift personnel.
