Rutherford to join PBSC as new VP of Advancement

David Rutherford, a seasoned higher education fundraising chief who also worked for more than 20 years in nonprofit leadership, will join Palm Beach State College as the new Vice President of Advancement.
President Ava L. Parker, J.D., selected Rutherford for the newly created position on her executive leadership team following a nationwide search. Rutherford starts Jan. 16 and will have administrative oversight of the Grants office, College Relations and Marketing and the PBSC Foundation.

PBSC receives new federal grant to continue Student Support Services

For the third time since launching Student Support Services in the 2001-2002 academic year, Palm Beach State College has received another five-year grant to continue the federally-funded TRIO program to help low-income, first-generation college students and those with disabilities successfully complete their education.
With $247,584 per year from the U.S. Department of Education, SSS will continue serving 170 PBSC students at a time through academic advising, help completing financial aid forms, university transfer assistance, tutoring and exposure to cultural events and activities. … Continue reading PBSC receives new federal grant to continue Student Support Services
