Commencement invocation speaker plans to become a lawyer thanks to PBSC

After graduating from John I. Leonard High School, Deborah Arocho-Maisonet, like so many of her fellow classmates, wanted to attend a university.

Achievement distinguishes graduate’s journey from Pakistan to USA

High achiever would be an understatement in describing Ayesha Khawar. Since relocating from Pakistan to Florida six years ago when she was 18 years of age, Khawar learned English, earned a high school equivalency diploma, and began her higher education journey at Palm Beach State College. Palm Beach State College celebrated its more than 2,000 spring graduates at two commencement ceremonies May 12 and applauded their resilience in reaching the milestone despite unique challenges caused by the pandemic.
