PBSC gets $9 million from Legislature to complete new campus

Palm Beach State College leaders are celebrating the news that $9 million allocated by the Florida Legislature to complete the first phase of the fifth campus under construction in Loxahatchee Groves also has survived the governor’s veto pen.

Palm Beach State College leaders endorse governor’s graduation challenge

Palm Beach State College leaders today accepted Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s statewide “Ready, Set, Work” challenge calling for the achievement of 100 percent graduation rates for full-time students.

Rhonda L. Griffis, an instructor for Palm Beach State College’s Cosmetology program, has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the state Board of Cosmetology.

Dowd reappointed by Gov. Scott to PBSC District Board of Trustees

John W. Dowd III, chair of the Palm Beach State College District Board of Trustees, has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to another three-year term.
Scott announced the news Wednesday along with nine other reappointments to College District Boards of Trustees across the state. Dowd’s term ends May 31, 2018. The appointments must be confirmed by the Florida Senate.
