PBSC employees win award for book they co-authored

A book co-authored by Palm Beach State College employees Janet DeVries Naughton and Dr. Ginger Pedersen has received a silver medal from the Florida Authors and Publishers Association.

New dean of curriculum comes on board

Dr. Velmarie Albertini has joined Palm Beach State College as the new dean of curriculum.
She has 20 years of teaching and leadership experience and comes to the College from Barry University, where she has worked since August 2016 as associate dean of academic and student affairs. Two of the events being held at Palm Beach State College in celebration of Women’s History Month will feature College administrators.

Wired up: PBSC expands internet access

Palm Beach State College students will have more wireless internet access on campus this fall, and those in Belle Glade can now can borrow mobile hotspots to use at home for free.
The College is expanding Wi-Fi to 133 additional classrooms across the campuses and to the Duncan Theatre on the Lake Worth campus. PBSC professors recognized at national conference for excellence in teaching

Two Palm Beach State College professors, including one who created an interactive e-book to help students master the concepts taught in their anatomy lab, were recently recognized at a national conference for community college faculty, staff and administrators.
