PBSC horticulture professor opens statewide conference

Dr. George K. Rogers, professor and chair of Palm Beach State College’s Environmental Horticulture department, was the opening ceremony speaker at the Florida State Horticulture Society’s annual convention held Sunday through Tuesday at the Hutchinson Island Marriott Beach Resort in Stuart.
The 129th meeting of the nation’s oldest horticultural society drew 120 attendees representing the academic horticulture community, government, nursery businesses and more. Scholarship green helps PBSC horticulture students

Three Palm Beach State College students studying horticulture and landscape management have received $2,750 in scholarships from organizations that preserve and promote Florida’s green spaces.
The Friends of Mounts Botanical Garden, Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest botanical garden, recently awarded their annual scholarships to two students enrolled in Palm Beach State’s Landscape and Horticulture programs:
