TRIO student team place first in national STEM competition

Four Palm Beach State College TRIO Student Support Services students won first place at the STEM Bridge Building National Competition in Atlanta on Saturday, April 26. The win marks their second consecutive victory.
The students, who are all first-year college students, are Nadleyrlande Francisque, Sophonie Simeon, Nadia Nobel and Esperancia Senneus.
Livia Aragon, one of the SSS advisors, made sure the students arrived with much enthusiasm and team building spirit.

Chancellor delivers more than $40,000 in scholarship funds to PBSC

Randy Hanna, chancellor of the Florida College System, visited Palm State College today, but he didn’t come empty-handed. He came with checks.
Hanna delivered three checks totaling $40,067 for scholarships aimed at relieving the nursing shortage and helping students who are the first in their family to attend college.
