PBSC donates medical supplies to area hospitals

Palm Beach State College is donating medical supplies to area hospitals to assist with treating patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Staff from Wellington Regional Medical Center, one of the College’s 15 affiliate hospitals, picked up hundreds of surgical masks, gloves, gowns, hand sanitizers and other personalized protective equipment, from the Lake Worth campus on April 3. PBSC partners with U.S. Sugar to provide training

Palm Beach State College has signed a contract with U.S. Sugar Corporation to provide onsite courses for students in the company’s training program at its Clewiston site.
The courses are being taught by Belle Glade campus faculty for students in the Industrial Skills Training Academy that the company recently launched to grow its own talent. New associate dean joins Palm Beach Gardens campus

Dr. Linda P. Lebile, whose higher education career includes stints in Asia, Texas and Africa, has joined Palm Beach State College as an associate dean of academic affairs at the Palm Beach Gardens campus.

Respiratory Care program recognized for producing high-achieving graduates

Palm Beach State College’s Respiratory Care Associate in Science degree program is now part of a select group honored for achieving exceptional outcomes in educating future respiratory therapists. The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care chose PBSC’s program, along with 61 others nationwide, to receive the Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success Award for 2015.
