STEAM Fest to return after successful first year

STEAM Fest, which drew more than 800 attendees during its successful first year, is returning Nov. 16 and promises to be even better.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Natural Science building on the Lake Worth campus and features new displays, as well as indoor and outdoor interactive science demonstrations, food, activities and more.

Chandramohan receives STEM Champion award

Since 2017, Dr. Sankaranarayana Chandramohan, known as Dr. Chandra, has organized 13 STEM Saturdays, an initiative he started at Palm Beach State College to introduce students (pre-K-12) to STEM subjects through interactive exhibits and activities.

PBSC honors employees for going ‘above and beyond’

Two faculty members and one staff member received Palm Beach State College’s Bravo Award, the top honor for employees, at the annual Employee Recognition Awards Ceremony this morning at the Duncan Theatre on the Lake Worth campus.

STEAM Fest set for Sept. 22 at the Lake Worth campus

The popular STEM Saturday that draws dozens of children to Palm Beach State College each month is going big with STEAM Fest 2018, a new initiative slated for Sept. 22 at the Lake Worth campus.
The inaugural STEAM Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Natural Science building. The exhibition of science, technology, engineering, art and math will include indoor and outdoor science demonstrations, contests, crafts and more.
