More than 50 members of Leadership Palm Beach County’s Engage Class of 2023 learned more about higher education during a visit to Palm Beach State College’s Belle Glade campus on Jan. 11 as part of their Education Day.

Belle Glade campus theater dedicates season to Homer Hand who died Nov. 5

When the curtains open throughout the 2022-2023 season at the Palm Beach State College Belle Glade campus theater, it will be in memory of Homer Hand, a former College trustee and longtime supporter and philanthropist, who died Nov. 5. He was 94.

Palm Beach State College’s three theaters at its Belle Glade, Lake Worth and Palm Beach Gardens campuses are gearing up for their 2021-2022 performing arts season that begins in January with a diverse lineup of performances.

Exhibit spotlighting the Glades on display at the Dolly Hand

An art exhibit showcasing the attributes of the Glades is on display at Palm Beach State College’s Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center.
Titled “Outside the Box,” the exhibit runs until Feb. 23 and features original artworks inspired by contemporary and historical attributes of the Glades’ natural and human-made environments, communities, recreational activities, education, arts, culture and industry.

PBSC theaters announce spring 2021 performance schedule

Palm Beach State College’s three theaters will reopen their doors in January with an abridged slate of upcoming live performances as more events and College operations return to campus.

Living Christmas Tree to hold 30th and final show

A beloved Christmas tradition that has been a part of the Glades community for three decades is ending on a high note this year.
On Dec. 2, Palm Beach State College’s Belle Glade campus and the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center will present the 30th and final production of its Living Christmas Tree performance.

Campus theaters land two grants to expand programming

Palm Beach State College has received two grants totaling more than $183,000 to expand programming and boost marketing for its three campus theaters.
The grants include $136,425 from the Palm Beach County Cultural Council and $46,184 from the Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs.
