PBSC to host Grad Walk May 13 to celebrate graduates

Palm Beach State College is holding Grad Walk Thursday, May 13 to celebrate the achievements of its spring 2021 graduates.  
The event, which is in lieu of a traditional commencement ceremony, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Duncan Theatre on the Lake Worth campus. Brothers complete A.A. degrees in one year; headed to UF

Anas Saeed Saeed Ahmed and his brother, Maaz Saeed Saeed Ahmed, enrolled at Palm Beach State College as international students from Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2018, determined to complete their Associate in Arts transfer degrees in one year.
After taking as many as six or more classes each term, which required special permission, they are set to graduate together on Dec. 19. Injured Army vet overcomes tragedies to earn his degree

United States Army Veteran Clarence Jennings has had to endure one too many tragedies in his life, but he’s not letting any of them stop him from reaching his goals.
Jennings, 68, started attending Palm Beach State College two years ago and will graduate this month with an Associate in Science degree in Human Services. He also earned a PBSC College Credit Certificate in Addiction Studies.

Florida State Reps. MaryLynn Magar and David Silvers will be the keynote speakers at the Palm Beach State College spring commencement ceremonies for the more than 3,200 expected graduates.

Ahria Bass didn’t just get a head start on her college education while in high school, she completed her Associate in  Arts degree with Honors College distinction.

Roth replaces Mast as morning commencement speaker

With Congress preparing to go into session later this month, State Rep. Rick Roth has been tapped to replace U.S. Rep. Brian Mast as speaker at the morning commencement ceremony Dec. 19 for graduates of the Associate in Science, Bachelor of Applied Science and Bachelor of Science degree programs and the certificate programs. Mast and Willhite to speak at fall commencement

Update:  Congressman Mast will not be able to serve as commencement speaker because Congress will be in session the week of Dec. 17.

Palm Beach State College will recognize its soon-to-be fall graduates not only at commencement, but also at GradFest, a new initiative launching this semester.
