Palm Beach State College Corporate and Continuing Education (CCE) department and Love, Hope & Healing, Inc., a nonprofit organization, have partnered to develop a five-week Career Exploration Summer Program.

State-required motorcycle training and safety class now available at PBSC

Motorcyclists who need to take the state-mandated training and safety class required to get the motorcycle endorsement added to their driver license can now do so at Palm Beach State College.
Motorcycle Training Institute,  Inc., a Miami-based company, has contracted with PBSC’s Corporate and Continuing Education division to provide the two-day Basic RiderCourse on the Lake Worth campus.

PBSC partners with county to offer Community Emergency Response Team training 

Palm Beach County residents interested in getting basic training in emergency and disaster preparedness can do so for free.  
Palm Beach State College’s Corporate and Continuing Education division is partnering with the county’s Department of Public Safety Division of Emergency Management to offer Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training on the Lake Worth, Boca Raton and Loxahatchee Groves campuses. Corporate and Continuing Education offers free tutorials

Palm Beach State College’s Corporate and Continuing Education division is offering 10 free self-paced online tutorials to individuals interested in boosting their hard and soft skills for today’s job market.
The tutorials are available through the College’s website, and they cover topics ranging from personal finance and managing customer service to creating WordPress websites and marketing for small businesses. Palm Beach State College’s Corporate and Continuing Education department has received the “Most Notable Newcomer Award” from the Society for Human Resource Management for successfully launching the international organization’s exam preparation programs locally for HR professionals pursuing certification.

New program prepares students for financial planning certification exam

Palm Beach State College has partnered with Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board) to provide a new financial planning certification preparation program beginning in March 2016 on the Boca Raton campus.
Individuals who successfully complete the 10-month program will fulfill the CFP Board 270 contact hour minimum education requirement and become eligible to sit for the Certified Financial Planner® Certification Exam administered by CFP Board. PBSC offers new certification prep courses for HR professionals

New certification preparation courses are available for human resource professionals through Palm Beach State College’s Corporate and Continuing Education division, in partnership with the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
SHRM’s new competency-based certifications are: the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM –CP) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Palm Beach State is also offering an SHRM introductory course on the Essentials for Human Resource Management.
