Palm Beach State College’s Heavy Equipment Mechanics program, based on the Belle Glade campus, has received ASE Training Program accreditation by the ASE Education Foundation. The foundation is affiliated with the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), the industry’s leading certifier of automotive and diesel professionals.

Partnership prepares displaced workers for health careers

Ten students are now ready to embark on new health care careers after completing a special Palm Beach State College Certified Nursing Assistant program with scholarship support from CareerSource Palm Beach County.

Cortez recognized for contributions to Belle Glade campus

Angelica Cortez from Palm Beach State College’s Belle Glade campus was recognized at a Belle Glade Chamber of Commerce event for her contributions to the campus.
Cortez, a librarian and associate professor, received Palm Beach State’s first High Impact Award at the chamber’s 52nd annual awards banquet Oct. 25 at the Belle Glade Elks Lodge.

New approach to workforce training planned for the Glades

Palm Beach State College in Belle Glade has partnered with the School District of Palm Beach County and business and industry leaders in the Glades to develop a more streamlined and economical approach to job training for the area’s workforce.

Ribbon cutting ceremony Feb. 17 for new sports field on Belle Glade campus

Palm Beach State College at Belle Glade is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony Feb. 17 to formally dedicate the new multipurpose field, giving intramural sports teams a place to practice and play.
The ceremony will be at 3:45 p.m. on the 225-foot by 345-foot field behind the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center, and it will include remarks from Palm Beach State College President Dennis Gallon.
