Seitz named PBSC athletic director

Palm Beach State College welcomes Tom Seitz as its new athletic director.
Seitz officially began his duties Jan. 2. He replaces John Scarpino, who served as the interim director for the past 15 months.
Originally from Daytona Beach, Fla., Seitz has more than 25 years of experience as a collegiate player, coach and administrator. Veteran coach to lead women’s basketball

Maureen Smith, who has more than 24 years of coaching experience, has been chosen as the new interim coach for the Panther women’s basketball team for the 2017-18 season. She replaces Kris Ruffo, who was the head coach for the past eight years.

Colvin named head volleyball coach

The Palm Beach State College Athletic Department announces Drew Colvin as its new head volleyball coach for the 2016-17 season.
Colvin will officially begin his duties on June 1. He replaces Sam Skelton, who was the head coach for the past 18 years.
Originally from Sanderson, Fla., Colvin has been Palm Beach State’s assistant volleyball coach along with his wife Jessica for the past nine years.

Forbes honored as the top coach in Palm Beach County

It was a historic 2013 for Palm Beach State College baseball. With the leadership of head coach Kyle Forbes, the team won its first FCSAA state title since 1984 and made its first ever appearance in the NJCAA JUCO World Series.
For these efforts, Forbes was named Coach of the Year by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
