Three PBSC employees win Bravo Awards

Two faculty and one staff member received Palm Beach State College’s Bravo Award at the annual Employee Recognition Awards Ceremony this morning in the Duncan Theatre on the Lake Worth campus.
Professors Suzanne Duff and Allen Webber and Interim Student Learning Center Manager Wesley Wells were selected from a college wide pool of 23 contenders nominated by their PBSC colleagues for the award.

New PBSC alma mater to formally debut at commencement

Palm Beach State College has an official new song.
Titled “Hail, Palm Beach State College,” the new alma mater, which will be sung for the first time by graduates at the morning and afternoon commencement ceremonies Dec. 20, was written by PBSC Learning Specialist Wesley C. Wells and musically composed by Professor Allen Webber.

PBSC team shows spelling chops at local contest

The best and brightest local spellers, including Palm Beach State College staff and faculty members Dr. Becky Mercer, Allen Webber and Cheryl Zimmerman, joined 19 other teams of three last night at the Harriet Himmel Theater in West Palm Beach to vie for the first place title in the annual Great Grown Up Spelling Bee.
