Copeland appointed PBSC nursing director

The national search for Palm Beach State College’s nursing director has ended internally with the appointment of Dr. Deborah Copeland, a longtime professor with experience working in clinical roles as a practitioner and administrator.
Copeland, who has been serving as interim nursing director since January, will move into the role permanently on Oct. 1. She replaces Buddy Herrington, who retired last year.

Baldwin named dean of health sciences

Dr. Alphonso Baldwin has been named the new dean of health sciences at Palm Beach State College.
Baldwin comes to PBSC from the College of Lake County in Illinois, where he has worked since 2008 as dean of the Lakeshore Campus.  He starts his new role Jan. 22, filling a position that became available after the retirement of Dr. Jacqueline Rogers in 2016.
