Panther volleyball star heads to Duke

Palm Beach State College alumna and former volleyball setter Haley Seyfarth achieved great success during her time at Palm Beach State.
Her excellence on the court got the attention of six NCAA Division I and Division II universities, all of which offered her a full scholarship to play this fall. She chose Duke University in Durham, NC.

Panther teams head to state tournaments

The Palm Beach State College baseball and softball teams are heading to their state championships.
Both teams placed second overall in the Southern Conference. The baseball team regular season record was 35-13 and softball was 30-22.
The softball team plays in the NJCAA Region 8 state tournament tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Vero Beach at Historic Dodgertown Stadium against Daytona State College (34-16), who is ranked seventh in the state and 19th in the NJCAA National Poll. … Continue reading Panther teams head to state tournaments

Women’s basketball team clinches conference title

The Palm Beach State Women’s Basketball team captured the Southern Conference title last night with an 85-54 road win against Florida Southwestern State College.
The Panthers clinched a tight game victory over Florida Southwestern in January with an eight-point win, but the Buccaneers were no match for Palm Beach on Valentine’s Day. The Panthers jumped to an 11-point lead after the first quarter and the lead swelled to 17 points going into halftime.

Women’s basketball on winning streak; Ruffo earns milestone win

The Palm Beach State College Women’s Basketball team is creating a lot of buzz around campus, the state and the nation!
The Panthers current overall record is 15-2 and 4-0 in the Southern Conference. They have not lost a game since early December and are currently ranked #13 in the latest NJCAA National Poll.

Seyfarth named First-Team All-American

Palm Beach State College sophomore and volleyball setter Haley Seyfarth has been named as a NJCAA First Team All-American for her athletic skills. She is the first Panther volleyball player to earn the distinction.
As a freshman, Seyfarth helped lead the Panthers to a 25-11 record, second place finish in the Southern Conference and a Region VIII tournament berth. She was named a First Team All-Conference player as a freshman. The Panther volleyball team will head to the NJCAA District/FCSAA State Volleyball Tournament this week after winning the Division I Southern Conference Championship for the first time in 11 years.
This year’s team had their best season in the program’s history with a 22-4 overall record and 7-1 in Southern Conference regular season play. The Panther Women’s Volleyball team opened its 2016 season with two impressive wins.
The first match pitted the Panthers against the Pan Handle’s volleyball perennial powerhouse Pensacola State College Aug. 26 in Gainesville, Fla.

Ruffo to lead Palm Beach State College athletics

Kris Ruffo, head coach of the Palm Beach State College women’s basketball team, has been named interim athletic director for the 2016-17 season. Ruffo officially begins the role today.

Colvin named head volleyball coach

The Palm Beach State College Athletic Department announces Drew Colvin as its new head volleyball coach for the 2016-17 season.
Colvin will officially begin his duties on June 1. He replaces Sam Skelton, who was the head coach for the past 18 years.
Originally from Sanderson, Fla., Colvin has been Palm Beach State’s assistant volleyball coach along with his wife Jessica for the past nine years.
