PBSC to host 40 employers at career fair on Boca Raton campus

With the tight labor market, employers are struggling to find quality job candidates. As a result, 40 employers are expected to recruit at a career fair sponsored by Palm Beach State College on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Humanities & Technology Building, Room HT 103, on PBSC’s Boca Raton campus, 801 Palm Beach State College Drive.
The Fall 2023 Collegewide Career Fair is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP and are reminded to bring resumes.
Private and public sector employers from various industries will recruit for full- and part-time openings and internships. Attendees will be able to meet hiring managers from organizations such as Acousti Engineering, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, Bridgestone Americas, CVS Health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Fastenal, Florida Crystals, HCA Healthcare, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, SBA Communications, Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, TRC Electronics, Tropical Shipping, and The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology.
“Local employers are telling us they have a tough time finding competent applicants, so we are happy that Palm Beach State can provide a venue to help them connect with quality job seekers,” said David Jenks, PBSC’s Career Center manager.
