Palm Beach State College to hold collegewide Open House Thursday, Aug. 10
Palm Beach State College will hold a collegewide “Choose PBSC: Open House” event for new and prospective students from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10 in the gymnasium on the Lake Worth campus.
At the event, which coincides with PBSC’s 90th anniversary year, students can learn more about PBSC’s 130+ programs and its many learning advantages, apply to the College, complete their FAFSA, and register for fall classes. The College will also hold a New Student Orientation session at 10:30 a.m. in the Duncan Theatre for the first time. The event will also offer discounted meals in the cafeteria and feature Danielle Phillips from DJ Divine Entertainment and individuals from Hubbard Radio who will hold contests with prize giveaways.
In addition, there will be information tables on a variety of academic programs. PBSC offers career pathways in Arts, Communication, Design & Humanities; Business, Education, Human Services, Social & Behavioral Science; Health Sciences; Industry, Manufacturing, Construction & Transportation; Public Safety; and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math.
“This will be an exciting day where students can engage with staff, meet other students and get everything in place to start off strong in the fall,” said College Recruitment Director Keana Roberts.
