PBSC athletes finish year with 3.1 cumulative GPA; Beach Volleyball named NJCAA Academic Team of the Year

The Palm Beach State College athletic teams finished the 2022-23 academic year with a 3.107 cumulative GPA, with Beach Volleyball being named the NJCAA Academic Team of the Year in addition to their NJCAA National Championship win earlier in the year.  The beach volleyball players had a 3.68 cumulative GPA with all 12 members of the team finishing with over a 3.0 GPA.

In addition, the Panthers finished with eight student-athletes achieving a 4.0 GPA and 50 finishing with a 3.0 GPA or higher.  Indoor volleyball (3.35 GPA) and women’s basketball (3.2 GPA) join beach volleyball as being named a NJCAA All-Academic Team.

Twenty-two student-athletes were named to an NJCAA All-Academic Team.  On the All-Academic First Team (4.0 GPA), were Bryce Pratt (baseball), Lola Vidamour (beach volleyball), Nikolina Dragojlovic (indoor volleyball), Allison Bryant (indoor volleyball and beach volleyball), Anthony Ruiz (baseball), and Ashley Thornton (women’s basketball).

On the All-Academic Second Team (3.80-3.99 GPA) were Alexandria Keane (women’s basketball), Kyandra Poitier (women’s basketball), Nina Vallesi (indoor volleyball and beach volleyball), Annie Messler (indoor volleyball), Nadav Naim (men’s basketball), and Ana Paula Fallas Cruz (beach volleyball).

On the All-Academic Third Team (3.60-3.79 GPA) were Maya Suchy (beach volleyball), Dena Otte (indoor volleyball and beach volleyball), Angelina Botolino (beach volleyball), Ashlyn Banton (indoor volleyball), Giancarlo DiGiacomo (baseball), David Ramos (baseball), Alice Schneider (indoor volleyball and beach volleyball), and Dylan Maire (baseball).
