City of Boynton Beach recognizes PBSC’s 90th anniversary year with proclamation

PBSC President Ava L. Parker, J.D.; Van Williams, provost and dean of student services for PBSC’s Boca Raton campus; and Boynton Beach Mayor Ty Penserga celebrate the City of Boynton Beach proclamation for PBSC’s 90th anniversary.

Palm Beach State College, Florida’s first public community college, is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year.

To mark the College’s historic milestone, the City of Boynton Beach presented a special proclamation during its City Hall Social April 27 to PBSC President Ava L. Parker, J.D., and Van Williams, provost and dean of student services for PBSC’s Boca Raton campus.

The proclamation was read aloud by Boynton Beach Mayor Ty Penserga, and City of Boynton Beach Commissioner Woodrow L. Hay, representing District II, was recognized as a special PBSC alumnus.
