The Palm Beach State College District Board of Trustees recognized Wendy Sartory Link at its Sept. 20 meeting for her service as chair over the last year and her work for the College through the years.

As part of the annual reorganization of the five-member District Board of Trustees, Carolyn L. Williams was elected chair of the board for the 2022-2023 year, replacing Link, and Trustee Patrice Bishop was elected vice chair.

With that change of board leadership in August, trustees paused to celebrate the achievements of Link through a video tribute and crystal plaque. Among her successes, Link was instrumental in helping the College secure state funding for its fifth campus in Loxahatchee Groves.

“I love the College. I love what we do here,’’ said Link. “I’m very excited to support our current chair and vice chair.”

Link, who is also Palm Beach County supervisor of elections, was first appointed to a four-year term on the board in 2007 and has served three times as chair.

Williams, a retired senior staff advisor for the South Florida Water Management District, first joined the board in 1999 and has served as chair in the past.

Bishop, executive vice president of Human Resources and Risk Management for Kitson & Partners, a real estate development company, was first appointed to the board in December 2019.
