PBSC revises facial coverings policy to prepare for full on-campus operations this fall

Palm Beach State College is revising its facial coverings policy in preparation for a full and safe return to campus operations this fall term.

Effective July 1, facial coverings will be recommended inside campus classrooms and offices, as well as outside when social distancing is not possible. Current guidelines related to social distancing, hand washing and area cleaning will remain in effect until further notice.

The College also is launching a get “Back on Campus, Back on Track” initiative to promote summer open houses, encourage vaccinations and prepare the College for fall operations. The College will continue to partner with the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County and other nonprofit entities to offer more opportunities to receive the vaccine on campus.

Fall term classes begin Aug. 23. For more information about the revised policy, visit the College’s COVID-19 Updates page at www.palmbeachstate.edu/safety/covid-19.
