Belle Glade campus to hold Family Fun Day
Palm Beach State College’s Belle Glade campus will hold its first Family Fun Day from noon to 3 p.m. April 21 to increase community engagement. The activities are free and open to the public.
The event, which will be held on the lawn in front of the Technical Education Center building, will feature food, live music from WAFC Classic Hits radio station and fire trucks. There will also be games and face painting, as well as photo opportunities with PBSC’s mascot Palmer the Panther. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.
Family Fun Day is the vision of Dr. Maria M. Vallejo, vice president for growth and expansion and provost for the Belle Glade & Loxahatchee Groves campuses, to bring the community, students, faculty and staff together on campus for fun and fellowship.
There will be an array of community partners with information tables and giveaways items at the event including t-shirts commemorating the first Family Fun Day provided by Florida Crystals.
