PBSC seeks nominations for 2017 MLK Leadership Awards
Palm Beach State College is seeking nominations for its 2017 Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Awards.
The awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions toward improving the lives of others, particularly the underserved in Palm Beach County, through leadership, service and/or programs. Those contributions can include the areas of education, diversity, social justice, race relations, health care and economic empowerment.
There are five award categories: Individual, Organization, Palm Beach State Student, Palm Beach State Alumni and Palm Beach State Faculty/Staff. Nomination packets must be hand-delivered, postmarked or submitted electronically by 5 p.m. Nov. 4. The awards will be presented during the College’s 18th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Jan. 12, 2017, at the Lake Worth campus.
