Student government to co-host Congressional debate Oct. 5

The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce and the Student Government Association at Palm Beach State College’s Palm Beach Gardens campus are co-hosting a District 18 Congressional Debate Oct. 5.BrianRandy-450x430-v2

The event, featuring Republican candidate Brian Mast and Democratic candidate Randy Perkins, will be held at the Eissey Campus Theatre from 7-8 p.m., and it will air live on WPEC CBS12.  News Anchor Liz Quirantes will serve as moderator.

This is the third debate produced and hosted by the PBN Chamber of Commerce, but this is the first time that the group has partnered with and served  as mentor for SGA students interested in learning more about the political process.

The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.  Visit www.pbnchamber.com to register. Once registered, tickets will be ready for pickup at the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 3-4.  Tickets that are not picked up in advance will be available at will call at the Eissey Campus Theatre beginning at 5:30 p.m. the day of the debate.
