Get bargain prices at the annual book sale at Palm Beach State
The Palm Beach State College chapter of the Association of Florida Colleges is holding its annual book sale at two campuses this year with prices starting at 50 cents.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 11 in the Rubenstein Pavilion at the Palm Beach Gardens campus, 3160 PGA Blvd. and April 11-13 at the Lake Worth campus, 4200 Congress Ave. In the past, the event was held only at the Lake Worth campus, but organizers decided to expand the event this year to provide access for more students.
Bestsellers, textbooks, withdrawn library books, computer books and cookbooks as well as videotapes and DVDs will be available. This year’s stash also includes a collection of books about World War II.
The book sale is co-sponsored by the Library Learning Resource Center as part of National Library Week, which is April 10-16. All of the proceeds will benefit the AFC Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to PBSC for AFC members and their immediate family.
AFC is the professional association of the 28 public institutions that comprise the Florida College System, their boards, employees, retirees, and associates, and the employees of the Division of Florida Colleges. The mission of the association is to actively promote, represent and support members and institutions as they provide their students and the citizens of Florida with a world-class college system.
