The Art Gallery at Eissey Campus will hold its 30th Annual Student Art Exhibition beginning April 5.

The exhibition is a showcase of the best artwork created by 100 of Palm Beach State College art students from the Palm Beach Gardens campus. It runs from April 5 through May 6, with the opening reception held from 5 to 8 p.m. April 5. Both the reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.

“We are very proud to celebrate 30 years of student art in 2016,” said Dr. Nazare Feliciano, PBSC chair of visual arts and art history. “We also thank the friends of the arts in our community who support our art students with scholarship awards.”

Students in each art class selected the 126 works of their peers to showcase in the gallery exhibit. Artworks range from drawings, paintings, 2D design, digital media, photography, ceramics and 3D design. Most of the art will be available for purchase, with prices ranging from $25 to $800.

During the opening reception, awards will be given for Best in Show, along with first, second and third place in the categories of photography, digital photography, drawing, figure drawing, ceramics and design.

“This is the most well attended art event of the year at PBSC, where our art friends from the community purchase many artworks from our students,” said Feliciano. “These patrons have accumulated throughout the years more than 100 works from our students.”

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday. The Art Gallery at Eissey Campus is located in the first floor of the BB building, 3160 PGA Blvd. For more information, call the gallery at 561-207-5015 or visit
