PBSC Foundation receives $7,000 for Hispanic students

Networking Hispanos 010The Palm Beach State College Foundation has received $7,000 from the former Boca Raton-based Networking Hispanos group to establish a scholarship in the organization’s name.

“We are passionate about supporting students in their academic goals and wanted to create a legacy at Palm Beach State,” said Emma del Real, founder of Networking Hispanos. “We believe that the funds will go far at the college, where students have so many opportunities to explore different career paths.”

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to seven Hispanic students to use during the upcoming fall and spring semesters. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, be a Florida resident and be enrolled in six or more credit hours.
