Exhibit featuring Miami artists opens Jan. 13 at PBSC

A new exhibit that features artwork by eight Miami artists opens Jan. 13 at the Art Gallery at Eissey Campus at Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens.
Titled “Narratives,” the exhibit features paintings created by the Guild group. Its members are Abdiel Acosta, Christian Duran, Lu Gold, Jovan Karlo Villalba, Todd Eliott Mansa, Yamel Molerio, Vincent Serritella and Jose Telot. Duran and Molerio curated the exhibition.
An opening reception will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 13. The exhibit will run through Feb. 6. Both the reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.
Narratives focus is on art pieces that convey a story. Their messages are personal and create a dialogue between the viewer, artwork and artists. The exhibit will be the first full-scale group exhibition of Guild outside of Miami.
The art, ranging from $1,000 to $7,000, will be available for sale. The Guild was established in 2010 by Molerio.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The Art Gallery at Eissey Campus is located on the first floor of the BB building, 3160 PGA Blvd.
