Palm Beach State College, a leading provider of biotechnology workforce education, will showcase its programs and host Florida biotech industry leaders during a weeklong celebration Feb. 17-21.

Dental Health students give smiles to 300 kids

Busloads of Head Start preschoolers came to the Dental Hygiene Care Center on the Lake Worth campus to get their teeth checked and cleaned on Feb. 7, the annual Give Kids a Smile Day. 
For the eighth year, Palm Beach State’s Dental Health Services department hosted the event as part of the American Dental Association’s national day, started in 2003. Remembering a beloved educator, mentor, friend

Almost 200 students, faculty and staff members came together Feb. 5 for a candlelight vigil to honor the memory of Dacota Stewart-Dick, Palm Beach State College’s First-Year Experience manager. Stewart-Dick was killed Feb. 2 in her Parkland home.

Former Miss America to speak at PBSC as part of Black History Month events

Ericka Dunlap, who became the first African American woman to be crowned Miss Florida in 2003 and who went on to win the Miss America title the following year, will speak at Palm Beach State College Feb. 19 as part of a series of Black History Month events that begin Tuesday.

Candlelight vigil to honor slain College employee

The murder of Palm Beach State College staff member Dacota Stewart-Dick in her Parkland home Sunday has sent shock waves through the College community, as employees and students struggle to cope with the tragedy.

Area ceramic artists to exhibit at Palm Beach State art gallery

Fourteen south Florida artists will feature their latest ceramic works in an exhibit titled “SoFlo: On and Off the Wall” at the Art Gallery at Eissey Campus at Palm Beach State College Feb. 18 to March 21. The opening reception will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 18.
