Bargain book prices at Palm Beach State’s annual event
The Palm Beach State College chapter of the Association of Florida Colleges and the Library Learning Resource Center will hold their annual book sale during National Library Week, which runs April 13-19. The book sale will be held April 14 and 15 on the Lake Worth campus.
A great variety of books, CDs and records will be available on both days from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Library Learning Resource Center/Technology Center courtyard. All of the proceeds will benefit the Palm Beach State AFC chapter and the AFC Scholarship Fund for employees and students. Students, faculty, staff and the public are all welcome.
Other events held at Lake Worth campus that week include a poetry reading by Susan Williamson from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. April 15 and a library extravaganza where individuals can learn about library resources and services from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. April 16.
Williamson is a Virginia native whose poems appear in numerous literary journals. She has served on committees for the Virginia Festival of the Book and as editor-in-chief of Streetlight Magazine. She currently serves as the assistant director of the Palm Beach Poetry Festival.
