Palm Beach State’s Dental Health Services will host its annual Professional Development Open House for dental health professionals on Saturday, April 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dental Health Services Building on the College’s Lake Worth campus.
The event will give dental hygienists, dental assistants, dentists and other dental health professionals the opportunity to earn continuing education units (CEUs) as well as celebrate the 50th anniversary of Palm Beach State’s Dental Health programs and community dental care. The registration fee is $35 and includes four CEUs. For more information and to register, call 561-868-3746.
This year’s keynote lecture is “Leadership and Communication for the Dental Team,” presented by Lisa Philp, president of Transitions Group North America, a company that helps dentistry practices reach full potential. In addition, PBSC Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene students will present research on oral health topics, and dental product companies will exhibit.
Since 1964, more than 2,000 dental health professionals have graduated from Palm Beach State and built careers in the community. In honor of the 50th anniversary, an Alumni Recognition Reception will take place from noon to 1 p.m., giving the open house participants the chance to network with former classmates and colleagues.
